Well known local identities from across Gippsland will soon be under lock and key in 103.9 Life FM’s “Dungeon of Darkness” to raise funds for the community radio station.
As part of Life FM Gippsland’s inaugural Stories of Hope fundraising appeal for 2018, willing volunteers will enter The Dungeon with a ransom to reach before they escape to the Haven of Hope.
Life FM CEO Michael Rowell said the event will be a fun way to connect with the community and help people promote their own group, while also raising funds so the station can continue to broadcast their positive message of hope throughout the region.
“Our station loves to connect with and support the local community. We are a local station and wouldn’t be on air without the contributions from our local sponsors and supporters,” Mr Rowell said.
“The station has a fresh new sound and now also features regular news bulletins, entertaining breakfast radio, sharp modern music and 30 second encouragement bites such as Focus on the Family.
“The Stories of Hope Appeal is about raising funds for the station to continue its vision of highlighting all the great stories that are happening right here in our own backyard and broadcasting a message of hope throughout Gippsland.”
The Dungeon will be activated on Friday, June 29 with a live broadcast from Life FM’s Sale studio, soon to be transformed into The Dungeon!
Glenn White of Gippsland Limo Service will be one of the willing participants entering the Dungeon of Darkness and said “I’m not sure what to expect…but I hope everyone is ready to take action and donate when I send out the call to raise my ransom to get me released!”
